Stripping & Waxing

Stripping a floor involves using a chemical stripping agent that is applied to the floor and scrubbed with a weighted floor machine to remove the old wax.

There are many flooring surfaces that can be stripped & waxed. One of the most common surfaces is Vinyl Composition Tile or VCT. VCT Flooring is frequently found in medical offices, daycares, churches, veterinary clinics, apartment clubhouses and more. VCT tile is a hard durable surface made to withstand high traffic and last for years with a proper maintenance program.

Proper maintenance starts with stripping & waxing the floors at least once a year and possibly more often depending on the amount of foot traffic in the building. Frequent sweeping, vacuuming & mopping the floors to remove the dirt can prolong the life of the wax. We can also provide a periodic service between the initial strip & wax to maintain the high shine and overall cleanliness of the floors.
